With roots in customer service, precision and quality, Lavelle Machine is proudly celebrating its 50th year in business.
Founded in April 1967 by Ed Lavelle Sr., Lavelle Machine & Tool Company is an established member of the Westford, MA business community and one of New England’s most innovative manufacturing facilities.
Since its inception, Lavelle Machine has remained dedicated to constant innovation and careful, comprehensive service. This has given the company the opportunity to work with a wide variety of businesses and organizations in markets ranging from medical and commercial, to aerospace and defense.
Reflecting on the company’s 50 years in business, president Ed Lavelle, Jr. said the Westford machining company has its “foundation of hard-work, and the dedication of our employees” to thank for such an important milestone. “There’s also something to be said about being a family owned and operated business.” Today, the company is operated by Lavelle Sr.’s son, Ed Lavelle Jr. and eldest grandson, Adam Lavelle. Regarding the company’s roots in family, Adam Lavelle adds, “This isn’t just our business – it’s our name, and we stand behind it every day.”
As Lavelle, Jr. explains, another aspect that has continued to drive the company for 50 years has been its opportunity to make a difference. Having worked extensively with the medical field in the Boston area and beyond, the company is no stranger to demanding work that offers zero room for error. The payoff, he says, is simple: “The products we manufacture make a difference in people’s lives, and that’s something we can always be proud of.” Looking beyond its 50th anniversary, Lavelle Machine shows no signs of slowing and will continue to combine its constant drive to innovate with the time-honored values that remain its foundation.
